You can run the audio through your receiver which will then go to your tv, but you still need to hook up the video somewhere. Since your receiver is only for audio and has no video inputs, you need to hook your video signal directly to your tv. Either with the s-video cable if your tv has a s-video input or with the s-video cable and the adapter I mentioned.

He said his reciever had video inputs & outputs, so i was thinking it would be easier because you could do s video into the reciever, and av out to the tv. and you could still keep everything connected to the tv if the reciever has options for different sources

Actually, the DVD has all kinds of inputs, video and audio) and the receiver has several video inputs. ???

So I need an 'S-video to a single RCA' adapter for the video and a 'headphone to dual RCA' adapter for the audio? That's gay.....

You got it that's all you're gonna need. They aren't too expensive though, less than $5 each.

it has video inputs for different sources, basically so you dont have to keep unplugging the av cables on your tv to use different things, you can just press a button on the reciever to change it

Ok it looks like you probably don't need that s-video adapter. Plug the s-video on your computer to your "dvd in" on the back of the receiver. I can't see very well, but if one of those composite video jacks on the back of the receiver is an output, plug that in your tv and you're good to go.

and then use the headphone to av audio adapter and plug it into the dvd audio input

The TV doesn't have ----. It has a coax cable input and a power cord. :P

Does that mean this isn't possible, or I just need the S-video to RCA adapter and plug that into the VCR/DVD, right?
