The easiest thing to do WITHOUT having to remove the actual ignition is to pop out the little circle looking thing. There is an indentation in the middle of it. You just get a hammer and a screwdriver and tap around it and it will pop off. The spring that pushes the steering lock will drop out and the steering will be unlocked. You won't have a steering lock anymore, but you don't have to take off the ignition this way. The best option other than that is the dremel as said earlier.

You have NO idea what you are talking about do you? 17mm bolts? There are NO 17 mm bolts holding on the steering column. They are 12mm's
