How many motors have you built and how long have they lasted? If I ever build the bottom end in my Mustang I'm going to have someone else do it. Why? Becuase I'm not a machine shop. I don't have the tools to properly build a bottom end. I rebuilt my Integra motor before I sold it so that means I can do it but if I'm putting in high dollar parts I'm taking it to someone who can do the job right.

I was going to say the same thing, but didn't have the *****. I can build a motor and have the mechanical skills to know WTF I'm doing and do it right, but if I have a chunk of money invested into a motor I'm not going to take my chances halfassing and "Yeah, that looks about right" or "Those clearances are close enough" just to lose $1000 because it wasn't "close enough". Piecing together a turbo kit and bolting the ---- on hoping it works right is alot different than building a motor that requires precise tolerances and exact measurements.

I've rebuilt motorcyle motors half drunk in my sleep before and ran the **** out of them with no problems, but if that ***** up it will only cost me $80-$200 at the most.

has josh ever had a motor that preforms the way he wants it to?

I mean...it was an "experiment" from the beginning...

Its a tactic. If he admits to it himself then no one can really insult him for it.

why not just make sure you take your time building your engine and measure everything a couple times. take time, write ---- down, check it, measure again and just think about WTF your doin?

i've heard about lots of machine shops ------ up too, and when your planning on running 400+ hp on a 1.8 liter, they're not gonna gaurantee much

they're in business tryin to make money and they get ---- in and out as fast as they can, but they can make a mistake too

You guys are panzies. You send the block and crank to the machine shop and tell them the exact bore you want, and the exact bearing clearances. Then you go pick everything up and all the parts are done. Take it home and assemble.
What could you really ---- up? Your ring gaps? lol
