Re: hotrex---owned
I know in my dirtbike I can tell a HUGE difference between different octane ratings so unless it was obviously detonating the entire time I would say it wasn't a mis-labeled gas. I would think at ~400wp it should be fed something a little higher than your regualr 91-92 octane though.

I would run pump gas, but maybe invest in a J&S safegaurd or some other type of knock sensor.

Re: hotrex---owned
whity, what "special tools" do you need to assemble the bottom end? That ---- is easier than doing ball joints. Im on my fourth one right now (not just hondas either). You need a torque wrench, a feeler gauge, plastigauge, and a ring compressor. All of which are cheap as ---- and available at a pep boys. like steve said, once it gets back from the machine shop, your piston to wall should be set already, and stock sized crank and stock bearings shouldnt need to be plastigauged (however this is how i think i spun a bearing the first time) but i do it as a measure of safety. Ive never seen one out of spec. bottom line, if you managed to engineer a turbo kit for your honda, you can build a engine. My ---- has been running 18psi with frequent trips to the track and 6k FTL's for months now. If something was gonna let go, it woulda happened by now.
