Pretty typical for 99-02 SV650's...

I'm going to get my bike serviced in the next week. My carb could need adjusting which could cause some issues, but typically people see about 50+mpg doing my type of riding and I see about 45mpg.

yeah sv's are sweet
but im pist off at them i bought a 2005 in 06 (as a leftover for cheap) and put a pipe and programmer on it and love the bike it's quick sounds good and everything but a friend buy's a 2001 thats carbed for $2500 with only 7500miles and it's piped and jetted and sounds sooo much better than the fuel injected version and the fuelie dosen't even make much more power (from what i read the numbers are 68-70hp for 99-02 and 70-74hp for 03-08)
