Well today was a "so so" day.. Overal things went pretty well (besides the gysers of coolant on a few engines)

We had the battle of "300whp" on stock engines with a few guys. Dustin was the first to start off.

Turbo Ls/vtec (stock)
T3/T4 (unknown specs) running 9-12psi vary

Made 277whp / 180tq

The next run we changed a few settings, a bit more fuel and the thing either popped a head gasket or cracked a sleeve, because it was ugly ;)

Ted (cadracer) was next with Chevy Truck.

SBC 350 (built 11.1 forged pistons)
T04 turbo running 6psi

Made 365whp / 430tq

Ted's fuel pump was pretty much maxed out, stock fuel pump. We tried turning up the boost but it was leaning out pretty bad. For 6psi this thing rips!

Dave (leed) also another shooting for 300whp.

Stock B16a w/ GSR pistons
SC61 running 13psi

Made 311whp / 204tq

On daves last run when he turned up the boost even higher, the spark plug was shooting coolant out like a gyser, haha. I hope you made it back home man ;)

Alfy (alfaaay) running NA at the momment.

GSR NA running Toda A cams, ITR Valve train. AN-R intake mani, DC 4-1 header.

Made 171whp / 129tq

Unknown why this thing was so low, it should bet hitting 180's.

Johnny (Random-Strike)
Stock Mustang 5.0 w/ Flowmasters

Made 187whp / 255tq

Johnny actually didnt even get one clean run in, his tranny kept coming out of gear and upshifting or downshifting. So these #'s are really inaccurate. The dyno guy calculated 228 if the tranny would have shifted right.

Beau (blacksi)

88 Crx SI (race car)
Stock block B16a, SRP pistons/Eagle rods block filled.
60-1 T4 turbo running 33psi!

Made 467whp / 312tq

Beaus car really suprised me, we didnt have any major problems other than the standard "what ------- map is loaded ?!!?!?!?" But we got things figured out, boost cranked up and it ripped pretty damn good. Beau had this big smile on his face and said "33psi" I about crapped my pants. Beau is also known for very agressive timing maps. 26.0 degrees all across the board!!!

Jay (the all motor -----) running his Turbo car.

EG Hatch SI
Stock LS/Vtec
Holset HX35 on a nice log mani (running 13psi)

Made 321whp / 232tq

Jay was having some problems running on 3 cylinders when he showed up, but the extra set of plugs cleared it right up. I was pretty impressed that this thing layed down those kinds of numbers.

Alec (CivicZC) came up with FOOK from Oregon

EF Hatch
Stock ZC
T3 .42/.48 w/ log mani (10psi)

Made 213whp / 172tq

Had some problems at first with Turboedits boost cut and a very ------ rigged HMT boost controller that spiked 20psi!

Jeff (Abaz)

89 Crx SI
D16a6 stock ;)

Made 131whp / 115tq

My first run I was almost dead on with the ass dyno 129.9whp. I figured it was going to be 130ish. What kinda sucked is I didnt have a wideband so I didnt get to see any of my air/fuels (my wideband crapped out) The race gas was a really bad idea and ran like ---- on my car. I only made 3 runs unlike everyone else who did around 5. I only changed one thing in the tune and that was take 4 degrees of timing out and gained 2whp. So basically I didnt even tune the thing. Overall I made my goal and am very happy.

Leia (princess) always gotta save the best for last ;)

EK Hatch
Built shortblock H22 (stock head/stock cams/stock im)
62-1 Turbonetics BB turbo (21psi)

Made 472whp / 365tq

We made no adjustments to this thing, it ran freaking great on the dyno. We just kept turning up the boost, and going and going. The graph was really smooth. We cranked it up to 22psi and the overflow hose blew off. (meaning the coolant got pressureized somehow) Thinking the head may have lifted at high boost or the headgasket seaped slightly. But its running just fine right now, no problems.

Overall it was a pretty good day.. Ya it really sucks about dustins car, and daves car. I'll get some pics up here pretty soon. I'm sure dave and fook will have some videos later on too.

Jeff

Holy ----, you guys have some nice numbers. It's nice to see all the stock blocks making that kind of power.

How exactly did coolant come out of the sparkplug holes? ??? That confuses me.

Made it home. Yeee Haaaa!!

Looked over the video real quick, and theres some pretty good stuff for you guys.

Cracked block or not, the CRX was still able to perform a NW style burnout for some premium bonus footage :)

Well, theres a bit more to that story. I knowingly went to the dyno on a seriously wounded block. I gave it my best JB-weld prep, but it just couldnt hold up.

Dustins car is the real mystery. I looked at his Uber map and actually removed a little timing for his first pull. The basemap was pretty lean on the low cam, and marginal on the high cam. I added enough fuel to get it into the low 12's, and bam, it popped. :-\
Shitty dude, hope its nothing serious.
