Re: Hit the rolllers last night
Setup is basically...
2.0L, 50-trim, homemade 3" exhaust, fmic with homemade 2.5" charge pipes, 3" homemade intake, tuning with DSMLink, some hks 272 crap copycats (going up for sale after seeing them die like that in the upper RPM's), and just the typical supporting mods that would go with it. |
Re: Hit the rolllers last night
Cool. Why do you think the 272s died up top so badly?

Re: Hit the rolllers last night
I'm thinking, because they aren't real 272's, they are copies sort of. They are stock cams, reground by a company called FFWD, to be the same specs as 272's supposidely. And my bet is that they really aren't that good of copies. I think this winter, one of my changes will be to sell these, and go with a different set of cams. Possibly some fp2's from Forced Performance.

Re: Hit the rolllers last night
i think its the stock manifold and small exhaust housing causing reversion because they are a bottleneck with the big cams. Either upgrade the turbo and get a better turbo manifold or get smaller cams.

Added a link to a quick video of the car on the dyno to the first post.
