I pierced babymomma's nipples, back when she was merely increasingly-annoying-soon-to-be-ex-gf. We had no barbells, trying to stick small diameter hoops through. I told her it was probably going to suck a lot. I had a hard time getting the hoops through and she bled a lot for a couple glorified pinholes, but she took it like a champ.

If she wasn't so bipolar I might have let her stick around, sure sucks to be mentally unstable enough to bother me. :l

I've pierced for (and done) suspensions. Talk about pain and blood.

That would be a crucifixion suspension and while I haven't personally done a crucifixion, I have pierced for one. :)

Eh. I never particularly cared one way or another, always seemed... artificial? Premeditated? Maybe tacky is the best word for it. I like and/or am indifferent to pain depending on what it is, but going for a suspension seemed pointless, as there was no asthetic value to it in my eye. Just not for me. I know some tribal cultures did things like that for spiritual/rite of passage/hallucenation reasons, and if it was presented that way to me about five years back by someone I thought knew what they were talking about, I probably would have gone for it. I'd read Power of Myth by Campbell, been thinking about it for a while, and was primed for some rite of passage scenario. *shrug*
