Its called emissions killed the 2-stroke so lets hype up the only thing available. Not to even mention the weight of 4-strokes. You only need 2 strokes to make power ;)

4 strokes last longer, easier to gas. cleaner engines

if i ever buy a dirtbike itd be a 4 stroke just because of those reasons 8)

Sometimes I could get 2 seasons out of my motor and that was beating the ---- out of it. And than rebuilds were under $150. I will admit 4-strokes have an advantage at some stuff, they do climb hills like its their job while a 2-stroke you need to work at it. But I love my 2-stroke because its that. Nothing can match the powerband and the all or nothing power. Its just a different kind of monster. I'd buy a 4-stroke to ---- around on but I'd always have a 2-stroke for the serious riding

wrong johnny, these new hi po 4 strokes are very maintenence heavy... they recommend a valve adjustment, and a new piston every 15 hrs on the new yzf250, and the crf250 about the same thing.. they make good power while there fresh, but expect the motors to tire quickly, and rebuilds on a 4 stroke are about twice the work as a 2 stroke, i rape my 125 and i change the piston and ring about twice a year.

Don't a lot of the top supercross/motocross riders run 4 strokes now? I see a lot more of them nowadays.

2 stokes will soon be obsolete. they are just too damn dirty, and the emissions laws are getting too damn strict.
I think we are going to be seeing some cool ---- coming from 4 stoke motocross bikes.. I still got love for the 2stroke
though..

when i was like 15 i aquired this kx80 :P
first two wheel thing with a motor that i ever rode and that thing was sick
granted i think i weight like 140 at the time ;)
It had the big wheel on the back and the power band was sick. I loved it....then it got impounded cause i was riding it around hammered as hell one night and when i flew past a cop i hid it behind a deli and they took it. :'(
I was nice on that little thing though...
Next one was a 125 and i could of swore my friend told me he put oil in after i filled up the tank....
but he definetly didn't hahahahhah you can guess what happened to that one. :-X
