Getting a dirt bike (help)
 

ok, I have not been here for a long time since I finished my civic turbo. Anyways, I am now going to get a dirt bike, it will be my first and have been looking around. I am not looking for something to race just to go up to the mountains and hit the trails on weekends and also learn how to hit jumps once in awhile ;) I was looking at either the Honda XR100 or Yamaha YZ125. I am not a large guy 5 ft 6in and 150lbs. So which one should I get?

XR100? what are you some kind of wuss :P definatly dont get that, the yz125 is ok but if your planning on
riding in the mountains, i'd get a yzf 250.. or a crf 250, same size as 125, more power, 4 stroke.

I know the 100 idea was weak but some guy at the shop said that it would be good for my first bike. I don't know much about this except that I want to get into it and am lucky enough to have the cash to go get one but thought I would ask around see if I would get recommendations.

I have had many bikes. A good 4 stroke is a good starter bike. At your size an XR400R would be fine. I had one and it was a good bike.

4 strokes are faster than 2 strokes nowadays anyways.

you seem like you're a pretty little guy and i think a good 125 would be your best bet is you're a wuss or stupid.

but if you think you can handle yourself get a 250 but dont go balls out the first time you ride it or something lol

100 is too small get at least 125, and I like 2 strokes alot better
