Garage door opener experts, where you at??
My piece of ---- garage door opener has a mind of it's own and doesn't like to go up or down sometimes. The sensors are hooked up fine and nothing is in the way of them. It will start moving, then like 2 seconds into it, it will stop and go the other direction for a few seconds, then stop again. ??? I can't get this mother fucker to work right. Some days it seems to work fine, but then the next day it's a total piece of ---- and now I have burnout marks in my driveway after it pissed me off today. :7
It's a Genie, series II intellicode. Do they just go bad like this and you have to buy a new one? ??? __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |

Re: Garage door opener experts, where you at??
There has to be a way to ypass the sensors. It's only 2 wires and 2 connections going to the unit. Jump them together and see what happens? :l

Re: Garage door opener experts, where you at??
yeah, buying a new one works better than fixing a shitty one.
blow it up, dont use a hammer. make a cool little bomb, put it in there and then film it. its better for venting anger. |
Re: Garage door opener experts, where you at??
same thing happened to a friend of mine. he just got a new one. he gave me his old one as payment to help him install the new one. i figured i could fix the old one and put it on my mom's old ass garage door.
when i hooked it up it worked great. been fine for about 7 months now. |
