Bull ---- bull ---- bull ----. If you can't afford the 50 dollars for 3 pulls at most shops, then you shouldn't be buying these stupid pieces of junk that don't do a god damn thing.

Street tune with your LC1/Det can as best as you can. You "should" be able to hear detonation with the cans, assuming you've placed it on an appropriate place on you engine. Once you have the a/f down and you think your timing is on, go to a local place and just get 3 pulls. Tweak the timing a bit in either direction, keep and eye on a/f and see if you make more/less power.

Ok, I'll stick to my detcan. Wish I lived near a place where I could get some pulls for 50 dollars, though. Around here once I get the car strapped down to the dyno I'm out 350 already. Thats why I'm looking for alternatives (which doesnt seem to exist :1)

I know a local shop owner who I shoot the ---- with on occasion and that's what he told me. Upon looking at their site it is 75 dollars for 3 pulls and they let you tweak/minor tuning in between.

around here we get 2 hours of straight tuning with unlimited pulls for 250! ---- if id ever pay 350 to get strapped. sounds like they got a monopoly on that ---- or something

Hell yeah its ripoff. But thats the way it works here I guess, only rich guys or people who know people gets to play on the dyno >:(

The most local dyno around here is like $85 for three pulls with AFR's. Not too bad I don't guess...I need to jump on that ---- myself.

Good luck,
