Aint difficult to believe they get that, highway only I can get 28 mpg in my 3.8 buick. Normal driving I get 24ish.

big deal i've gotten 31mpg in my camaro going from seattle to portland.

40mpg isn't that great for a 100whp car...

The little things he didn't like most probably had nothing to do with performance.

thats was what i was trying to say about the Malibu. All the things I dont like are the same things that I found when I drove the chevy silverado and cobalt. They are shitty for simple driving purposes. Haulin ass feels ok but normal day to day ---- in those cars is not comfortable.

If i had enough money so that I could buy a vette and have like 3 other things to drive yes I would own one...but other than that no thanks. If I want something for strickly performance I would rather build it. Much cheaper and more fun IMO. lets face it you are goign to buy it mainly cause either you want speed or you want a vette. Your not buying it for trunk space thats for sure. So if speed is your quest and you are not mechanically inclined or just plain dont want teh hassel sure its a decent bang for your buck..but.... If you are buying said corvette cause "Its really fast" you more than likely wont know the difference between a 12.0 vette and something that may runs 13's flat for less than half the price.

So I cant really see forking out the cash unless either A) you dont have a good grip on how to obtain speed or B) you just like corvettes or C) your penis is very small and must be compensated in a "Fast" car.

Many things can go 12 seconds. some are made that way, others not so much but end of the day going 12 in a vette is just normal. 12's in a civic turns more heads.

not even close.

you will never build a car that will out perform a stock c6 z06

Outperform how?

Econo-Box 12-06-2007 09:45 PM

Re: Fear... 2009 Corvette LS9

Dont get butthurt cause I said the Vette is no different than an escalade which is IMO a car thats not worth it. Sure escalade is nice but its a suburban with a sweet grill. You can buy the same for less just liek the vette. Yes its a refined machine and yes its a hard to beat car but its a car plain and simple and you can go fast, turn sharper and *ahem* stop faster...for cheaper bottom line. If it aint about the cheapness then....... :8

outperform as in every single category.

go look at the road course raced hondas, that costs tens of thousands of dollars, a stock c6 z06 would destory all of them

this is hondas...

ya someone could build a car faster for cheaper from a shitty platform

i said YOU couldn't which is true

15k tops.

and then buy a 3 series beamer for your daily. z06 beater ftw?

or a miata, an older truck for 3k to pull your miata, and a 3 series for a daily.

if you spent 15k you prob won't... vette is a superior platform, unless your all out overwhelming acceleration can win it for you... no prob not. miatas aren't that great anyways, it'll take a lot of work, esp with a heavy motor not made for the chassis

i thought the monster miatas 302's are only 40 lbs off from rotary.

And no i wouldnt choose a miata. I would buy an Atom :-*

you would lose by a huge margin then :-\

it depends which 302, and i dont really know. an all alum 302 might not weigh much more but a cast iron one would im sure
