stess the motor more???? do you mean build up to much heat?? dyno's do no stress motors because the motor is what creates all the load. the dyno is just the resistance to the load the motor is producing.

you just showed the world wide web you know ---- all, good job :1

are you implying that no matter what gear you dyno in you will get the same numbers? ???

Your engine doesn't magically grow volumetric efficiency when you put it on a dyno.
Right, you have more heat buildup in the combustion chambers and more chance of detonation when the load is high but I haven't really seen any chassis dynos capable of holding any kind of load. You usually just get tire and/or cooling problems if you try to hold a steady load on a chassis dyno.
I tend to map my engines so they can survive fifth gear at full throttle uphill without detonating.

i want to see video of said car spining the tires on the dyno ::)

ive personally witnessed 700/700+ whp/wtq dyno runs and they dont spin the tires.

the ONLY way i see the tires spinning with that car is if you have bicycle tires or they guys that hooked up the car to the dyno used a jack to lift the car up so the contact patch was small :S

still, its pretty impressive the #'s you guys put down, i just doubt the tire spin store

I've seen a 400whp car spin the tires on a dyno, that was simply because it wasn't tied down properly. The guys in the shop had never dynoed a car that needed to be tied down so there was nothing in their floor to strap the car to.

never dyno'd a car that needed to be tied down :l ::)

yea, well, i dont know what dyno that one is, but i wouldnt ever go to that place, even if i had a moped :3

but you did prove part of my point, it was the guys that run the dyno shop that cause that to happen.

a properly setup car on a dyno will not spin the tires unless its just got a ton of power, like 1000 whp.

do i need to direct you to the TT Buick Regal that put up a smoke show on the dyno from spinning the tires??? im sure you guys have seen that and i seriously doubt the car being talked about in this thread is anywhere near the level of power that Regal was.
