I just ripped one out of a hp that was destroyed in a car accident, I'd send it to you but it's bent out of shape

I do however have two 1gb sticks of ram and an amd turion x64 dual core proc you can buy

he's right.
you can find them other places, but they cost alot.
i was looking into upgradeing mine in my old toshiba, i said ---- it and bought a cheap external for $80 like 4 years ago

lol thanks but no thanks, just need a dvd burner. So when you mean make sure it fits you mean inside the laptop? Im guessing not, looks like it just sits next to it or wherever its convienient.

i spent 10 seconds on google, searched "laptop dvd burner" and found a few for $40 shipped brand new...

i meant if your a gonna get the internal replacement, make sure it fits

Yeah thats what i figured. I think ill just go with external though, i don't want to void my warrenty in case something i really care about breaks, and i don't want to risk cracking open my computer with my skills. So about the one i found on new egg, Is it good? Or should i keep looking?

What software are you talking about? Point me to it. I tried to update my driver, but it says i have the best driver available.

Have you searched for a newer firmware?

google "[model] firmware"
