the ACTUAL trim level was called VTEC. with the sticker where the Si would go and everything. I can confirm this cuz i saw one a few days ago. and there was a OOH SOO HOT chick driving it.

del Sol's are lighter than 2g civics and also have a 50/50 weight ratio. the si sol was faster than the ex/si civic stock and the vtec owned most of what was out at the time. My old sol took corners tighter and ahrder than my crx.
