Re: the death of the autobahn beast

I was very disappointed that I blew my motor days before a horsepower competition against some srt4 and srt8 its a dodge car show that only allow dodge and mercedes , only chryseler cars. but they will let a few other cars in I am invited. they will have a dyno contest.
I was not pissed about blowing the motor since it served me more than 12000 miles since I build it and it mostly saw hard autobahn driving at high rpms.

my friend has the same motor as mine that he is rebuilding, so he offer to let me use it for the competition, but the machine shop will not get it bored by saturday.

so we started to brainstorm. we decided to build up my old 81mm block with all stock internals, rods pistons etc. then I will put my built head on with crower cams. slap the t67 turbo on and turn it up still we reach our goal. without throwing a rod.
do you think we can make 600whp on stock internals?
the idea is to pop some big headed domestic owners that thinks because their engine is bigger they are faster. I don't care if the motor pop on the dyno I will push it till it reads 600+

also what do you guys think of mahle pistons?

You're going to need some serious piston-wall clearances, I'd shoot for 0.005" or and a comparable ring end gap, and engine life will be measured in a handful of hours if there are no factory defects in the parts you use.

Mahle makes good stuff.

SHitty deal dude... I too have always liked your pile of CF and green!!!

LOL...

Ya like JD said, Id run quite a bit of piston to wall... Im at .006 now on my latest incarnation of my pile (although with the cast pistons you probably dont have to go that big).... Its BAERELY (if any) noticably louder when cold. When its warm I cant tell any difference at all... It sure likes having the ---- beat out of it still!!!

Although my bore is bigger (88mm), Im running .019 and .021 top and bottom ring gap respectively Motor seated well - quickly ( :6 ), doesnt smoke and runs just as well as before... Id stay away from the Mahles myself... Ive had GREAT luck with the CPS, so yes Im a jocker....

DONT FORGET THE ROYAL PURPLE!!!!

the mahle pistons are for my blown block. will be rebuilt by the end of the month.

I am now trying to assemble a stock block with worn, used pistons and rods all stock at the same psi as my sleeved block in order to win a contest, plan to spend $00.00 on this project because its only a one day block. if it pops on the dyno we don't care! as long as we win. stock ls rods ,pistons, block, stock b16 head with stock dual springs. crower cams 1000cc intectors. big ass turbo.
we plan to turn up the boost till it detonate on pump gas, I am searching for race gas, I am running meth also.
this is gonna be my HMT dyno queen for one dyno runs.

If you can lay down 400 on the stock block consider yourself lucky

The rods being the limiting factor??

i have an issue of honda tuning where they used a b16 and made over 500hp with stock rods but forged pistons. if you could at least pick up some used forged pistons, i bet you could reach your goal

Re: the death of the autobahn beast

we will see, told my friend to forget about tuning because we will probably throw a rod. we will tune for 10 psi on the streets, and run it an the dyno at 25 psi without tune. I have my tow rope, my friend have a truck, and its 12km away from my house.
