most of them do. thats why they make shitty dragsters and get creamed in the 1/4 by v8 powered cars that trap 10mph slower.

hondas don't go 60-100mph in 1st either

save reason 1000whp supras run 11s

can we change the title of this thread to "johnny was sort of correct for once, but fucked it up by huffing fumes from little boys bike seats"

yeah when they dont rev it high enough or have slick that are too large. anyone who knows how to drive wont bog. the only reason they get beat in the quarter by cars that trap less is traction, not bogging.

4.05 FD, 2.786 1st gear, 24.5-26" tall slicks, 9500 rev limiter. Sure they do. I have logs to prove it.

Maybe you should talk to some people who actually drag race... it's not uncommon to gear tall, or leave in second (80-90 mph for commonly geared setups), when drag racing. It's much easier to control wheelspin when small variances in power are not being amplified by a short first gear.

Any other questions, Johnny?

a post to a question no one asked.

hondas make shitty dragsters, and the high rpm power band is why.

the end

yea sure, its always driver error when hondas lose drag races and trap 10mph faster than other cars.

you can build a high rpm dragster with all the right specs to make it launch hard.

we aren't talking about drag bikes, we're talking about factory bikes. why are we getting so far off topic.

the simply fact is that the destroyer is the quickest production motorcycle ever made. zx14 and busa trap higher but run slower times because they go 100mph in 1st gear and you can't launch them because you either bog or do a backflip

right im sure it has NOTHING to do with traction. i guess you think if you launch a honda on slick at redline it with just bog right?

same goes for a street bike. how are you going to tell me a bike that makes 190hp and weighs about 500lbs is going to bog if you launch it at peak power RPM's with full traction? its not, certainly not to the extent that its going to adversly affect how fast the bike goes.

harleys are gay piles on ----, how many 9 sec 1/4 mile passes will that turd of a "production bike" (what a joke) make before it breaks something? 2-3?

A correction to yet another erroneous statement.

If the powerband makes power then how does it matter at what rpm the powerband occurs? Power is power, Johnny. You aren't making any sense.

Oh, yeah. The Eggum car went 5.19@150-something in the 1/8th. It's set up for the 1/4. Do that math, what does it run in first gear!?!?!?
