I wouldn't run the Vtec head without actually using it. Kind of defeats the purpose of having the head.

Just run the Y7 head if you are boosting and just run the Y8 or Z6 IM.

Re: d16y7

In have had a couple y7's in the last few years. they are ok. have boosted 2 so far and ran great. not a power house by anymeans. and I would not press the issue of more then 10psi on them weak ass rods. and rod bolts. I have never really had a issue with oiling problems with mine. ran a good 80psi almost all the time. same fore my friends car too. so ya rock it. def switch intake mani's y8 or z6 the stock y7's are the worst one i have ever seen honda make.
the only other problem I had with them was majorly shot rings in my first one but I think that was due to me being a noob and running a vtec head with no fuel management. just a toggle switch haha. boost it. :6

That extra 1/3 being a smooth idle and good low RPM daily driving performance vs. lopey cams. :6
