Think about it for a minute.
Why should i own a 5L car with a huge size when i have to drive on distancies that are quite short and on roads that are so small.
Our countries are much older than US; also the streets have more years than your country. Do you think that a city that was born in 10bc. or in 1000ac. was prepared to have huge cars driving arround it? Our cities grew from them.
Also do you say that gas prices/comsumption arenīt an issue? How can you say that when the average mpg of a honda or toyota is like 31 and a ford or chrysler is 26? And also why havenīt US signed the kyoto treaty about polution? http://www.mapsupport.com/thedatabas...pec/refuel.htm
If you look at a movie made in us what i normaly see is roads filled with big cars, big trucks, etc... now if i look at an europeen movie something is quite diferent... where are the big cars and trucks? Nowhere. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engine_displacement

http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:...&client=safari

Besides this all the people that i have put a turbo on their honda have reported that one of the most impressive thing about it is that they have a 250hp engine now and on daily driving mpg are much better than before. Kind of makes you think that a small block with a sc/turbo is MUCH more efficient than a v6 5L. Wait! Thatīs exactly what automakers are doing right now! Have you heard of the VW Polo GT? im not sure exactly what cars you are thinking are "huge"

but almost every car produced today is about the same size (in the same class)

you might not have a bunch of big diesel trucks over thtere, but we are talking about cars.

we can get into the bs koyoto treatly later (its designed to burden the US economically)

what kind of car do you have? a mini or a crx? or something else tiny? cause if you dont then your car is the same size as any american car in the same class
