Schools waste more money than they actually use.
Ted Kennedy killed a girl, lied and got away with it, and is a member of your congress today.

Your tradition has nothing to do with anyone elses tradition and thats why this is america, and not a fascist locked down muslim country.
School is a good thing.
Ted kennedy is tottaly irrelivant to anything in this thread other than the words "liberal" and "democrat".

Another "America doesn't have a tradition because we're free to evolve" statement. Lets just forget about hotrods and drive in movie theatres and we'll focus on lowrider bikes and DMX cd's.

School is good for training people to be employees. If they spend too much money failing to accomplish the goal, they're still

Ted Kennedy is not only a liberal and a democrat, he's a liberal democrat that drove his car (drunk) into a lake and left his "date" in the back seat to drown. Then he went home and plotted to tell the cops that she was driving and he didn't know anything about it. The next morning the cops found the car (without him reporting it) and they didn't even question him. And today he sits on his drunk *** all day on our dime and talks about how Republicans have no integrity. Fucken lop.

So you want to go back to the 50's? I did not say america does not have tradition. I simply stated that america does not have your perosonal tradition and agenda as a whole. Thats their right as an American.

School teaches so much more than that. 80% of school is social behavior, these things kids pick up so they know how to interact and do things in society.

The school voucher system would have been so screwed up. Could you imagine what would happen to the teachers union if there were private schools competing with better education at a lower cost to the government?

Trim the fat, bitches.
Wouldn't happen. Someone would figrue out how to make a shitload of money off of it. Teachers wouldn't get ----, the quality of education would be driven down to cut cost to gain profits and the education of the general public would decline.

theres standards and quotas public schools have to meet, i dont see how their shitty at all. Also, how can you capitolize off of a public school? I didn't exactly see the principal rolling up to school every day in a porsche. Why are you guys acting like school has some alternate money wasting/profit making agenda. Most people who went to school for 4 years to be a teacher don't exactly expect allot of money in return so im pretty sure they did it for another reason.

standards and quotas? yes they meet them when they lower the standards to the very bottom.

inner city schools get the most federal aid and they have the worst record.

[quote]Arizona DemocRAT Gov. Janet Napolitano vetoed legislation last month that would have let local authorities arrest illegal immigrants anywhere in the state.

Napolitano bludgeons border-fence proposal
Despite recent momentum in Washington for the construction of a physical barrier being constructed on the Mexican border to prevent illegal aliens [criminals] from coming into the U.S., some of the strongest opposition is being voiced by the governor of one of the border states...

Why does Napolitano want an insecure Arizona?
Governor Janet Napolitano made a big show of sending a "bill" to the federal government for the costs of illegal immigration, complete with tough talk and finger-pointing. However, by vetoing meaningful reform in her own backyard, she is turning a blind eye to fraud, identity theft and other crimes committed in Arizona by illegal immigrants.
