Re: clemency for "tookie" williams
i think he meants county :P
jurors are instructed to aquit/condem someone based on FACTS not personal opinion. through jury selection. a jury is chosen that is evenly distributed among the people. i highly dought the jury was all white. and if it were. the defense should/could have brought that up. and claimed mistrial.
the jury is not supposed to have there minds made up before the trial. and if that were true. it would have been evident.
this dude went before 12 of his peers. not the media. and if he felt the 12 people chosen were not of his peers. then he should have said something. thats how jury works. you wont get 12 whites. or 12 blacks. or 12 hmongs. it just doesnt work like that..
the dude got his trial. he's convicted. the defense never brought up the idea of mistrial. its over with.
even given the worst case scenario. that they were threatning him. or had baseball bats. under our laws. you have a duty to flee. the dude killed 4 people.
thats fucked up. shooting someone more than once is not self defense. shooting a woman a teenage boy. is not self defense.
yeah. given the fact that its 2 peoples sworn testimony. vs one dudes sworn testimoney. and all the evidence. and his background. as being a dude that didnt talk much. to his neighbors. 20 years and hasnt even become friends with his neighbors? plus he's prolly a wife beater. so he should get his **** cut off and get killed just for that.
he didnt even apoligize after he got sentenced to jail for life.

The dead included a a teenage boy and a woman, and a father and son, Zeigle told AP. Some of the victims were shot more than once.
According to trial testimony, Vang said he got lost, went into a tree stand on the private land and was asked by another hunter, Terry Willers, to leave. Vang said he apologized and started walking away.
Other companions of Willers arrived, and there was an angry verbal confrontation and threats to report Vang to game wardens for trespassing.
Vang testified he fired in self-defense after one hunter angrily shouted profanities at him and used racial slurs before another fired at him.
Willers and the other wounded hunter, Lauren Hesebeck, said no one in their group pointed a gun at Vang before he opened fire.

Vang's only other run-in with police occurred when he lived in Minneapolis. On Christmas Eve 2001, according to police reports, Vang had threatened to kill his wife. Police arrested him for having a loaded handgun in the bedroom. He was released.
Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager sought the maximum sentence for Vang, a father of seven children. She argued Vang would kill again unless he was locked up for the rest of his life, given his "explosive temperament" and lack of true remorse or regret.

The media called it "cold blooded killings," but in reality in the heat of the moment who is going to ask, "how many of you are armed?" Those where unknown factors to Vang and its obvious in the way he acted out. Its not "cold blooded killing" like it could easily be made to look.
Since when is someone who is unarmed and running for their lives a threat to you? He had to go out of his way to track down and kill these people. Your just blinded by the racecard. Like I said if it was a white hunter who shot 5 gooks in the back you definely wouldn't be defending him. Your on the same level as the people who believe OJ is innocent, blinded by ignorance becuase of race.
Its not the media saying it, I am; shooting an unarmed man in the back while he's running for his life is cold blooded murder and I think 99% of HMT would agree with me.

Whitey you are taking everything i say out of context, and you keep bringing up the 'race card', which is so cliche, only white people bring out the 'race card.' Race is not a factor for ME thats why i don't take any offese derogetory name calling. I dont' use the 'race card' in my decision making. It seems to be a big decision maker for you though, and an emotional one, since you like to used derogetory names to describe people. I'm playing the devils advocate and your are getting bent out of shape. :P

so yeah dude. rednecks are more like ... <insert redneck joke here>
dude. even if they fired first. they may have fired into the air. cause the dude wasnt hit.
i wud understand if he shot the man only.. but this dude wailed off. and emptied his clip on thease people. and then ran. he wasnt afraid. he was cocky. he knew what he was doing too. hell. he was even led out of there by two other hunters cause he was lost.. before a trial even starts. the dude see;s his jury. and he voices his concerns and comments. he didnt. so he's ---- out of luck. even if it was an all hmong jury. i think. given the facts and testimony. he still wud have been convicted.
