mileage computers are a ------- estimate. i dont care what they say. 12MPG driving highway, less with only city. let me know next time you go on a long trip and compare mileage driven versus fuel used to determine gas mileage as opposed to some estimated on board gas mileage readout. would you also base how much torque a hyundai tiburon is making by a gauge? i mean it has an on board torque output gauge, i bet its accurate as hell right? :1 you're just a hater, and what else could i say other than you're wrong? you won't believe me, you won't believe proof, you won't believe ratings, you won't believe other people. so what is there that i could possibly do to convince you... i get about 380 miles to a tank in my camaro, with mostly highway driving. thats 27mpg the EPA estimate is 26mpg (45% highway, 55% city) |

engine size alone does not determine fuel mileage. my car gets better mileage than a lot of 4 cylinder cars. like the evo, sti, wrx, etc... |

I have one of those in the Jeep and I can make it read whatever I want. If I coast down a hill for a while I can get it to max out at 99mpg. That doesn't mean I really get 99mpg. :1 Taking off from a stop going uphill it will read about 2mpg until I get going for a while. :l __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |

Nice purchase, I have an old 2001 expedition with a 4.6 and it is a gas eating dog :( It gets the job done though. The extra size of these big trucks make it really nice for dragging a trailer. Plus you can pack all your junk inside away from losers who like to steal stuff at the track.
I would take a chevy motor over the modular fords any day, and if mine ever dies it will be getting a 4cyl cummins swapped in :) |
Re: Bought a new (to us) car yesterday.
My mothers Yukon is alright on gas for a 6.0. I gotten a best of 23mgp on a long trip.
