funny, my buddy has one. he gets about 24mpg highway. around 17 combined.

my pops 99 dakota with 318 gets 20-22mph cruising and around 14 around town. 14-15 combined.

my dads 318 makes about 100hp and tq less than the vortec in the buddies truck, and gets worse mileage.

this is common knowledge

who the ---- is talking about dakotas? :X did you want me to disagree they get shitty mileage? i know they do, and so do chevy gas v8's and ford gas v8's.

youre the idiot claiming a ------- 5K pound truck gets better gas mileage then my 1.6L honda civic :1

GM SUV's do not get 24 or even 17 MPG. my friend owned one for 2 years (5.3L) and it got 10-12 AT BEST. this was a girl driving it, and she drove like an old person.

i dont bash on domestics any chance i get, just when you make retarded claims like an LS1 car getting 30 MPG. sorry to tell you but power + long gears + low RPM's does not actually equal good gas mileage. a big motor requires X amount of fuel to run. period.

you're just plain wrong. and im not even going to argue with you ::)

i've gotten 31mpg in my camaro, lots of people have, lots of people have in corvettes too.

would it make you feel better if i got a video tape of the mileage computer on the truck?

if your friend drives only in the city it could get 12mpg average...

you = :1

yeah im just wrong, great rebutal. typical response from you when youre wrong.

mileage computers are a ------- estimate. i dont care what they say. 12MPG driving highway, less with only city. let me know next time you go on a long trip and compare mileage driven versus fuel used to determine gas mileage as opposed to some estimated on board gas mileage readout. would you also base how much torque a hyundai tiburon is making by a gauge? i mean it has an on board torque output gauge, i bet its accurate as hell right? :1
