They are a standardized test the armed services use to gauge aptitude in various areas. You have to be a 'tard not to ace the test.

my HS had every senior take them, not sure why. Maybe just to give ya more options after school. I don't remember thinking hard on any of the questions on mine.

some of the actual questions read like this:

Which would be most likely to be magnetic:
A. a flower
B. a book
C. a nail
D. a plastic shovel

I got a 99, recruiters were calling me for 5-6 years after HS.
