Re: auto bailout....

Gm will be broken into different companies they have products that sell but the goal of the company on the business side has been run by monkey's for too long. Im in the automotive field and havent seen a slowdown on my sales actually had my best month ever last month. The news is too blame has well for attempting to scare the ---- out of people and so are the people who believe the end is upon us. We are getting back to a world of cash which is good for anyone. The typical blue collar guy will be able to afford a home again on a 30 year fix loan and have some kind of savings. The credit era is over it will take time for adjustments back to reality. Back to 1000 sq foot homes, driving an older car and not racking up 25k in debt on ---- you dont need.

Dont belief the hype no government plans are setup to save people who cant afford a home even if they speak of it. You cant refinance stupid.

While at the junk today in sub freezing temperatures, I took notice that of 1000 or so cars there, about 200 of them are imports. The GM section is packed with old ----, and nothing worth taking. :3

i think its fucked up that we can bailout the financial corprations that employ a few people in newyork, who make way more per year then UAW members, for 700bil. but we cant bailout the automakers that directly and indirectly employ almost everyone in three states, for 15bil. i not saying we should bail then out. but so far as being a "good deal for the tax payer" it dosnt get much better this.

also, from my experience in the eletrical industery, many large companies have troble making an attractive balence sheet because there paying for health insurence. employing union workers (even thou you pay way more) eliminates the problem. this is the reason most unions have better insurence, its just not that big a deal to them. i remember the frist time i looked at our suppliers list and saw the we owed blue cross twice as much as all matieral suppliers put togather, i truned white and ---- myself. no wonder they use union workers

yes they do, but that money comes out of wages and not suppliers, you still pay more. when the bank looks at it, they think its fine because $55 an hour is just whut people get paid to do that job (they only make $35 an hour but the bank dosnt know that) and they dont argue with it. i think it makes it easyer to get a loan if you need it.

the unions blocked GM and ford from bringing their small cars they make in europe over here, because all of cars sold in the us by the big three have to be made in the us by the uaw

You'd cave too when your threatened with strike (loss of production=loss of profit - bills owed). Not to mention mediation seems to favor the unuions. Then, if you still cant agree, the government steps in and tell you how to do it. They need to pre-package a chapter 11 and let them restructure. With the deflation we are experiencing and the economic downturn, throwing money at them isnt goingto do anything but make it worse.
