hahah love it! what are the tree big ones asking for? 30 billion or some ----!? i think chrystler is the only one that has presented a plan to show what they are going to do with it and why they need it

Just a rundown on the actuals of it:
-One week asked for 25 billion and got ---- on for flying in on private jets. Come back next month.
-Came back next month driving hippie cars, and the price has gone up to 35 billion
-The government WILL end up giving them 15 billion, which will be enough for them to say they did something, and also enough for the companies to blame the gov. for not granting the 35 billion they said they needed. Both sides get out of scrutiny, and Americans lose.
-Stock up on frozen ----, water, cash money, and guns.

My opinion is they have had many many years to change their ways, or restructure their operations. Giving them money is just delaying the enevitible. The CEO's will probably take a good chunk when they go under. They need to fail and have their assetts purchased by independent companies that can turn around and build cars without the unions. I heard on the radio that GM sold an unprofitable auto plant to toyota with the stipulation that 50% of the production would be branded for GM. They fired all the employees there and Toyota rehired the exact same people sans union and began turning a profit even after the 50% loss of production. Another report I heard said it takes honda 1 hour to switch from making mini-vans in a plant to making small passenger cars. For GM to do this take a 1 year and about 2 million.
