Anyone eaver do a timing belt on a 3.5 dodge v6?
I was asked by friend to find out why his Chrysler LHS quit. As it turns out im pretty sure the timing belt broke and needs changed. Looking at the car it looks like a fun job Has anyone here ever changed a t-belt on a Chrysler 2.7/3.3/3.5? Any tips to make the job go faster? I get to work on this POS in freezing weather without a garage joy!

Well I got enough of the timing cover off to see that the crank spins but the cams don't hopefully this isn't an interference motor Right now im just hoping that the crank pulley wont be a bitch to get off. Why Chrysler in there infinite wisdom mounts the alternator and ---- to the timing inspection cover is beyond me

easy take all the accesory off.pull the timing cover off.take the core support out and the fans.undo the three bolts on the crank pully.do not take crank pully off easy to wesel the timming belt inbetween it.take out the old one slap in the new one .just make sure its top dead center.

Well I got it half torn down. As it turns out the tensioner denigrated causing it to eat the belt Anyhow anyone know how im supposed to remove the crank pulley? Looks like im going to have to remove the radiator and fans which sucks cause its like 30 degrees here and im working outside If this where a Honda it would have been done already :P
