Advise me on riceboy bodywork for my car.

Alright, I'm going for a stealthy turbo setup. I don't want anyone to be able to see my IC, hear the BOVs (routed back through the intake), the wastegates are routed back into the exhaust, the exhaust has both resonator and a good welded ultra-flo to suppress most/all of the whistling goodness.

I'm currently getting fucked in the ass on fitting a modest 26X2.75"X9" IC with the way the front bumper is "undercut" - the ---- has to be cut all to hell, and the IC is just hanging out for the world to see. Not good. Here's a picture so you can visualise:

FYI, the bumper I have is an 88-89 STD, which looks to be identical to my 88-89 DX on the beater deluxe. Is the Si or any of the 90-91 stuff not undercut? I'd prefer the car to be bone stock in appearance, but failling that rice rides are ALWAYS slow and pathetic and the average eye passes over them... I've been thinking of doing a CRX front end conversion as the CRX bumper cover fit my old 24"X4"X11" IC nicely with minimal/stealthy trimming, as the CRX bumper is not undercut. Alternately, some semi-stock looking ricer front bumper?

I think the crx front is the lesser of the two evils O0

haha halfway through reading your post i was thinking of the crx swap. still looks very oem and imho much better than the hatch front end. gets rid of that gay ass upper lip right above the bumper and below the hood. also will fit your intercooler better. but finding one for a decent price that isnt too fucked up is getting pretty hard. and then your gunna have to paint match it. or rattle can york whole car flat black which i personally dont think looks too good. unless you have the red std and can find a red crx front end. same paint on both cars and nearly same age will make sure the fade is matched.

The STD is very shiny and clean, it'd take some buffing to get 95% of red CRX body panels to match up.

I'm pretty sure I'll housepaint the car at some point, so interim mismatching doesn't bother me much. I'll try to match the OEM red as best I can and just do the outside, so I don't have to do a lot of work and the doorjams and engine bay don't look like ass like they always do with a color change.

EK front end FTW!!! The body lines will really flow with that front end. :l

BTW, those are some sweet MS Paint skills you got, JD.

first of all, flat black the intercooler.... that'll help a bunch.
Also, def. ricey but you can put some mesh in there to cover it up more.

instead of cutting.. use a torch to heat up the bumper where you want to mold it for the ic.. and use a nice clean glass or ss pipe dipped in water to mold the bumper however the ---- you want i did this for my ricer exhaust 4 years ago on my civic wagon on the rear bumper :1

you could get a water/air intercooler. then you could still use your stock bumper. i know a place to get a good deal on a complete kit too

No, you don't understand. The intercooler physically sticks out whole inches in places where the bumper never existed in the first place. Flat blacked or no you'd have to be three generations inbred to not notice something is up with the car... it's about as noticeable as having no bumper cover at all. Mesh does nothing for stealth, either. Uhm, D minus on your reading comprehension? :-\

Where would that fit? You reaqlise I have less room than most B-swapped ED chassis, right?
