The smaller sidewall slicks are meant for much milder applications. Basic all motor,small nitrous, 10 psi turbo d that kind of situation. They are meant to be run at much higher psi.

start at 14 and bring an air tank. 10 is very low for those again refer to lack of sidewall

That would be a terrible size slick for his setup. I think m bone might be pointing towards the rim size?

Use logic when sizing slicks, bigger is not better and smaller slicks will still hook! There are dozens of 275+hp SLOW turbo cars on honda-tech and oversize slicks is usually the reason.

Punch some numbers into this calculator. You'll have to hit google for your gear ratios. You want to cross the line right before your rev limit in 4th (ideally).

You can test what MPH you're capable of with the slicks you have now. it will only increase a little bit (providing you get half-decent runs) with the right size slick but your ET will improve in proportion to your 60fts.

How much power is your car making ?
How much boost on the anti lag ?
What did the car trap the last time you ran it ?

Like most guys are telling you the 22's are more for an all motor application. The sidewall just wont support low pressure.
BUT, you can probably manage some 1.8's with them.

power - around the 220 mark
not sure about the anti lag maybe 5 ish???
car trapped 105 with the old set up (14b 10-11 psi) (now 16g 13psi)

a buddy is also telling me to run 13s in the back pumped up to 40 psi
i have a set that has been sitting for 2 years and am worried if they can handle the speed
i have 15s with a 205 tire (rims only weigh about 12 lbs) on my car right now

22's are for allmotor, 24's are for a JRSC, 25's are for a turbo and 26's are for turbo/nitrous. hp and gear ratios dont matter. :y

24's are for a jrsc ? Pretty funny.

My 300whp was just fine with 23's. 24.5's would be overkill.

Anyway.....

Safe to say the car will trap 107+. My car traps 124 and I run worn out shitty 165/65/13's in the rear. They are just fine @ 45 psi.

The preload is very important. Practice a lot. Try and find the limit of your e-brake and clutch on the line. You want the car pulling/squating/jerking but not moving. When you get it right you'll know. DONT FEATHER THE THROTTE. Its a big waste of time. Leave the line HARD.

due to safety ill be running my rims in the back (looked at old tires and i doubt a :8 would run them )

You're missing the point and you're missing the sarcasm. Slick size has nothing to do with whp or "all motor" or "turbo".

mph, rev limits, and gear ratios are what you use to tell someone what size slicks they need. Any size slick will yield good 60fts. I've personally hit 1.7's on 20" slicks and a 1.62 on 23's (~400whp).

The only thing whp is good for is if you use it in conjunction with weight to get a rough idea of mph (AKA using a quarter mile calculator).
