if ya didnt think audiobahn isnt goind under in the slightest then look at this http://www.pyleaudio.com/EL/PLWB12D.jpg audiobahn patent design on pyle
and if youd like a decent sounding system without dumping a ton of money look into lanzar max subs they take alot of abuse and are cheap to be had
dont run pioneer coaxials they sound like ---- honestly lanzar vx series coaxials arent that bad and are cheap
if you got the money go alpine throughout with type S equipment
alpine>pioneer>jvc>others- my thoughts on decks

the PG xs2500 is a great amp. i like all of the older PG xs style amps. here is a picture of an xs 2500 running 4 10'' jl's and an xs 2100 running infinity reference 6.5 components. in the middle was a phoenix gold line driver. this was in a single cab nissan 4x4 and the box took like 7 hours to make in my driveway

I'm surfing crutchfield and putting together a sample of what I might pick. Discuss at will:

SUB:
Phoenix Gold RSd10d
10" subwoofer with dual 4-ohm voice coils
$129

SUB AMP:
Profile HA700M
200W x 1 Car Amp (350w @ 2ohms) <---2 ohms is how you hookup the dual voicecoil, right?
$99.99

4 INSIDE SPEAKERS:
Kicker 07DS600
6-1/2"/6-3/4" 2-way Car Speakers (50 RMS/90 MAX)
$69/SET

SPEAKER AMP:
Profile AP1040
4-channel car amplifier
80 watts RMS x 4
$149

Total $515

Without a deck, wires, ect. That's probably what I would come up with on my own.

oh sorry stealth, for that system i would go with 1 10" fosgate speaker(whatever one you can afford, even the cheap ones sound good), make the box out of mdf or fiberglass whatever your comfortable with. then and alpine cd/mp3, mb quart separates and mount the tweets up high. for amps i really like fosgate amps, they put out more power than theyre rated for and never shut off. pick an amp that puts out 80-90% of what the speaker says its rated.

before i buy anything i have to hear it in a car b/c every speaker sounds good in the sound room in the shop

i get used old style(last years model) everything off ebay. just be ready to check it out and send it back if they try to sell you something broken (esp amps and subs)
