I used to have a JVC cd player that was teh best damn thing I had before my last pioneer. Wish I still had both of them. :(

I believe the sealed boxes have the cleanest sound, that's why I wanted it. It seems I have a good idea of what I'm going to need now.

I was always told that sealed needs higher wattage, but sounds cleanest, and bandpass boxes were for people like fook who don't want to hear any mids/highs. haha. :8 And then I guess the ported boxes are somewhere in the middle.

sealed box also dosent need as much box volume.

http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_s...p?series_id=11

only needs .625 of a cubic ft.

I run 2 12" jlw3 and the xs2500 p.gold amp in my rex and and its alot. I think I would have been happier with 1 10" than 2 12". the set up that I posted is basicly the exact same setup I have in my rex, but I run biger subs, 1.2 cap and a
alpine ere g-180 11 band eq. The best part about the whole system is the eq beacuse I can change the freq. on the fly.

Nice clean, average, not db drag racing champion, no rap music, not a million dollars.

Go......

umm how many watts are the amps, how many ohms are the speaks/subs wired at? etc, sounds like my home stereo is louder than your car.

Re: 6 15" subs in a civic?

I had a JVC head unit in my last car and i sold it but it was my favorite head unit because of the built in equalizer. If you set it properly it sounds great!! Made a huge difference to the sound of my system. Also for subs i like the kicker L7 12" and i had some cheap kenwoods that sounded good belive it or not after i tuned my amp and head unit. If you know how to set all of the settings properly it makes a ton of a difference. Most people here dont know about n e thing when it comes to stereos and didnt change anything from the way it came from the factory and most were amazed when they heard my shitty kenwoods.

1 12" RE HC powered by a directed 1000d
ported box tuned to 32hz
two pioneers in the door with some shitty ass amp
and an alpine nav flip down
last dime i'd ever spend on excessive car audio....

It was a fill in the blank type of thing. I don't have a stereo in the car yet.
