I have one on my wireless adapter pointing towards the router, but none on the router. It acted kinda funny when I put them on the router.

I'm on a free connection rite now but its pretty slow. My laptop has an internal wifi reciever. Any one know if if an external usb antenna will help with getting a better signal?

I don't think those exist if you have an internal card.

thats not related to the subject material.

as far as internal antennas go, you'll have to remove it, and re mount it on the outside.

stealing internet is actually eaiser than it seems. you have to use a wireless bridge. setup dd-wrt thusly and your done.

dan, if you want, you can stuff that dongle inside a pringles can. cut the bottom out so the usb dongle has the usb plug sticking out the bottom. then run a wire to it. like a usb extension wire. point it at the neighbors house, and your good to go. i did this in greece last time i was there.

believe it or not, i got 0% quality and 0% strength and still got access to the internet.

I rocked a bridged dd-wrt linksys wrt54g router for months getting free web til everyone locked their connections. I could buy the hardware that allows me to listen in on packets so I can use the WEP cracking software, but I'm too lazy/cheap for that.

I plan on just getting a pringles can and searching around the apartment complex for a new connection.
