Default Your opinion?

New to the board here, Hi everyone, i'm looking at buying a custom turbo made for a d-series engine here's the specs

T3 Volvo Turbo .42comp/.48ex (minimal shaft play)
-4.5 by 4.5 Custom T3/HF Adapter plate
-Ported HF Manifold w/ Heat shield
-2.0 to 2.5 Custom Downpipe w/ exhaust wrap
-All oil feed lines, brass fittings, (all new) BSPT adapter
-Oil return flange, w/ hose (oil pan not included)
-Custom Spring setup, set at 6psi

i ran a 14.0 @ 10psi boost with this little turbokit I made. So the kit is tested and works great. Will fit just about any D-series engine with minor mods. You will need to add charge pipes to your setup, and fuel management. (bov not included)

for 430 shipped

What do you guys think?

Lets break this down

T3 50-60 from a pullit yard.
4.5 by 4.5 Custom T3/HF Adapter plate ?? unknown
Ported HF Manifold w/ Heat shield 12 bucks
2.0 to 2.5 Custom Downpipe w/ exhaust wrap- cost me 40
All oil feed lines, ect good 40
Custom Spring setup, set at 6psi .. no waste gate so i
guess its a carbator spring. they are a few dollars.

So I'd say he paid around 200$ at the max. If hes junk yarded all these parts from the same place he probably got a discount. Ateast they do that at my place.. They charged me two dollars for a BOV and pipe. Its worth what the dumbest moron will pay for it. hell for 400 dollars you better get some fuel managment atleast an adjust FPR.

Nick

thats the catch.. if your going turbo hunting. In MY opinion is better to buy a proven system in the long run. Because if somethings no working when you get it, no matter how long you play with it. Its still not gonna work.

Personally I would ask him how many miles he put on the turbo. Just make sure he has peronally used it. Some people will put together a kit, but never test it out. They do it to make a few extra bucks. I would low ball his but at 150$. He'll say heck no, but I'll let it got for 300. Then you say something like 225$. And you might meet at 250. Its a game you gotta learn to play. Like i said I would only consider buying this turbo if he has personally used it with success. I'm sure alot of other people will comment on this thread and give their opinion.

Here's a link

http://www.superhonda.com/forum/show...hreadid=133756

Check it out he said he used it at 10psi and ran a 14.0

SO its tested

Only thing about a proven kit is that i don't have the few grand to buy one =[

Every one seems to be forgetting the fact that theres labour involved, i does take time to put these kits together and have everything fitting correctly.
