When I click on HMT, I get too lazy to read everything, but I'd surmise you have your BOV hooked up post-SC. You want to dump any extra boost between the turbo and the next 'item' like a TB plate or sc. In otherwords, hook the BOV to the far end of the pipe it's on.

You might also want to bead the ends with small welds, use hairspray for adhesion, or some guys screw in 2-4 buttonhead screws to act like beads. WIth good clamps, either 3 methods will discourage even 25psi from blowing the pipes off.

Sounds like it would be a fun car to drive, instant boost w/a turbo... I want to get an M62 off a GM for cheap soon, then flip the nosecone & go dual-sequential...

go for it
here's a diagram for a sequential setup SC -> turbo using a simple one-way valve. The nice thing about this is that it's entirely pneumatic and the transtition from SC+Turbo to Turbo is progressive and smooth: it is also quite easy to fab.

There's a recirculating bypass valve after the SC and another BOV after the turbo.

That pulley was a work of art! I didnt want to put it one the wagon, but instead put it on display!

And POW!!!!! Blow off the ------- intake at the MAF.... So, I either need to install a 2nd BOV, or more likely, reinstall a WOT switch for the supercharger... I suspect that while I let off the throttle, which should give the BOV a vacumn signal so it would open, the supercharger was still getting a tad too much boost signal, and so stayed on for the split second it took to overboost the intake system, and blow off MAF. No big deal.

All in all, I am pretty damn happy. The motor and pull was amazing. 16psi had no knock.. I am 100% sure that 20 psi is going to be fine come this Saturday Dyno Day, as long as I get these damn annoying pesky problems out of the way.

the blows off valve is to stop compressor surge on the turbo, you dont need to worry about the supercharger and ----. put it neer the compressor.

My guess as to whats happening is your engine/supercharger still spinning is allowing your turbo to still push air without surging back, as the supercharger prevents backflow but still lets air through. Enabling a crazy pressure build up on the supercharger side, as there's nothing to control that system but your blow off valve. Moving the blow off valve to the turbo side would keep your supercharger from being able to suck in compressed air so it would stay at somewhat of an equalibrium with the engine.

Find rmcdaniels on honda-tech.com, he's had twincharged setups and can advise you with zero guesswork or BS. Talk to him, I want you at dyno day with no glitches.

also try googling first gen mr2 twincharging... hks put a turbo on the mr2 supercharged back in the 80s. a couple folks in the mr2 community have had ~15 years experience doing this.

Installed a Greddy "Trust" MBC that my buddy had sitting in his toolbox! Nice Unit. Every little turn it "clicks" into place.

Changed the way the electric clutch on the supercharger is engaged. It used to be hooked up to a vacumn switch that engaged the SC when the vacumn went to "0", basically WOT... I changed it to use a relay in combination to use the Throttle Position Sensor and the PerfectPower6 so it turns on at about 7/8th throttle.

Thats all I did today.

Fixed the remaining oil leak, needed a hoseclamp instead of pressure clip on the drainline.

Wired the wideband back in.

Jacked the rear of the hood up about 1" for some much needed air.

The wagon drives really really well now with the SC switched via throttle position. If I am just slightly accelerating, the boost builds enough to get me going like I should be, then when i punch it, look out!
