won't rev past 4k
I have a problem, my car won't rev past 4k rpm. Its a B16a t3/t4, dsm 450's, walbro fuel pump, xenocron chipped ecu, fully rebuilt block. I don't know if it's my timing, not enough fuel pressure, or if it's my chip. I fussed around with the ignition and got nothing. I got two chips from xenocron, both work but still won't rev past 4krmp. At first I thought it was my 2step launch but every gear won't go past 4k? Whats' wrong?

Re: won't rev past 4k
Is your check engine light on? how did you wire your injectors, it sounds as if though your ECU is putting the car in to pimp mode, meaning you will hit fuel cut off at about 4k, I had this happen to me when one of my injectors unplugged itself somehow. could however be many other things, like timing or just a bad chip, but I would check all of the wiring/mechanical things first. when you check your timing with a timing light, what does it show you?

No. your main sensor/ECU/logic ground is located on the thermostat housing. If it is not tight and free of corrosion (resistance) then things get JDM Fuckmullet.
CEL 10's scare me. OBD1? You probably reversed IAT and purge solenoid plugs and fried IAT, ECU, or both. Since you're stuck in limp homo mode, I'd say ECU... be a good nig nog and pop the ECU cover, see if Q31 near the ECU plugs is crispy, eh?
