So it runs super super lean on a 450cc map, and even a 390 map, and runs decent (little bit rich) on a 240cc basemap. WTF? The injectors are black tops, and they say "450" on them. Any ideas?

 

try swapping the black tops with blue top dsm's like i said in the other post. this way i can say i told ya so

 

What would cause such low fuel pressure if they really are 450s? Its running very well right now on a 290cc map.

 

im sure you used a resistor box or inline resistors if needed right

 

he had a set of bluetops , my old ones, but he wanted to keep the "newer 450s" and now yeah.. yes he has a resistor box, its an obd0 car.

Everywhere ive read it says all dsm injectors are peak and hold. Anyone have evidence to show otherwise?

BLUE TOPS and blacktops TUNE DIFFERNTLY

a 450 blue top on X car is good afr

a 450 black top on Z car is running lean or rich

its becuase of the spray pattern

 

bluetops have single spray pattern.
blacktops have duel spray pattern.

 

for the one millionth time, put on the blue tops and tune the map for 450's. problem solved. why doesn't anyone listen?
