ok jdm d15 vtec im planning on running an ihi rhb5 turbo off a mx6/probe (turbo is tiny) and i dont know if i would be better off spending 100$ for an fmu or just going ahead and sending the ecu to be chipped.im trying to get out cheap but i dont want it to suck

just go ahead and spend the extra money and get the chip itll be better in the long run.

 

chipping is cheaper than an FMU in the short run too.

Getting your ecu chipped from members of this board is like $75 IIRC

You can chip that bitch urself for like $30

 

If you've done any research at all, you'd know that we're all gonna suggest the FMU.

i cant believe people still ask this question. i chipped my ecu for like $20 and traded an ecu for a chip burner. can a question be added to the registration that says "you will be banned for asking about FMU's, do you agree?" damn NigNogs
