I'm not thinking it is the head gasket. It showed no signs of failure and was still in perfect condition. I am about 2 hours away from tearing the blockguard out. I don't care if it is or isn't the problem. I'm taking that bitch out and if it stops overheating, it was the blockguard. If it still overheats I am going to beat the ---- out of the first person I run into(not really). I'll let you know what happens..........

I've seen two types of block guards. The standard cover the entire coolant passages ones and the wavey ones that allow coolant to flow.. I say dont bother you wont need it running 8psi

how about the Az racing blockguard, they seems to have the best design, because they have a wavy design on the outer edge, and also holes in the top, I got one and I dont't have any related problem yet, even though I've only driven for 15 minutes.

I take everything back, that I posted about blockguarg they suck monkey ***, this my second day using one and I'm boiling over, like ----------er, they suck, I'm tossing that ----, as soon as I get my new headgasket, wasted $80 plus two head gaskets, piece of ----, suck!!!!!

Shitty....ummmm, thanks for being a reliable first hand guinea pig?

Your engine had absolutely 0 cooling problems before, and you started overheating right after the install? Cruising or heavy load?
