what pistons to use for boost in a d16a6
Not necessarily the lower the better. You can go with higher compression pistons, but tuning is going to be critical to make the engine last. I've tuned setups with 11.6:1 compression ratio's and the higher compression will pay off in the end. But, alot of people will use lower compression pistons in the 9:1 range to allow the tuner a little more freedom... What kind of pistons are you talking about? Stock or aftermarket? I'd definately look into a set of forged rods and pistons. If it's your first setup and you'll just be driving this on the streets and some track, I'd go with a lower compression piston.
yes this is my first setup. iwas difinitly gonna go with forged rods and pistons.reason being i saw what boost can do to stock ringlands.im not sure what company im getting my stuff from.also does anyone know where i can get a manifold from flanged for a t3 turbo.
