Default What oil

hi,
maybe a verry stupid question but what oil do i need when i'm going to turbocharge my car ?

My euro ZC is running on syntetic 10W40. Is this good enough for my turbo ?

I use regular Castrol GTX 10w30.

regular oil hardens in the turbo alot easier than synthetic. atleast that's what i've found out here and just by common sense that synthetic has way better stability than regular oil. if regular oil is working good for you then keep using it. aslong as you change the oil before it gets as thin as water then it's ok i guess.

let's not turn this in to another oil fight. bottom line is synthetic is better for the turbo, yes, but worse for the engine. i would rather replace/rebuild my turbo than my engine.

it runs about 15-20° hotter than conventional oil

I haven't looked into synthetic oil much at all, but that doesn't make sense to me. I am pretty sure they made synthetic motor oil with the motor in mind (longevity, better performance, etc...), not that fact that it's better for turbos. You get what I am saying?
