Oil Return Line to Oil Pan
In the morning i am heading off to the junk yard to pickup some project parts. 1 is a new oil pan. Now once i have the oil pan, what size fitting should i place in the pan. For the turbo's oil return. Also how high from the bottom. Also what's a good way to seal it once it's in place.

Re:Oil Return Line to Oil Pan
What turbo are you using.
I'm using a 14b, and my oil return line is 10an. I made a flange for the turbo out of 1/2" steel, tapped a 1/4 NPT hole, and threaded in a 1/4" NPT to 10AN fitting. THen I used a 90 degree 10an fitting on the hose to connect the turbo to the pan. The hose itself is only like 3 inches long. Then I used a straight 10an fitting to connect the hose to a 10an union (that's the name, it's 10an male threads on both sides)with one side in the oil pan, being held in place with a 10an threaded nut. You can get all this stuff at www.summitracing.com . I think I paid like $50 or $60, so it's not cheap. I'm sure you could get away with some rubber hose, I'm just ---- retentive like that.
Parts List
1 1" x 2 1/2" x 1/2" Steel plate (for flange)
1 1/4" NPT to 10AN adapter
1 90 degree 10an fitting (female)
1 straight 10an fitting (female)
1 4-5 inches 10an hose
1 10an union (male to male)
1 10an nut
10AN hose (w/fittings)
