dizzy hitting on something? take a stethoscope and see if you can pinpoint where the noise is coming from exactly- that should key you in to what is wrong.

sounds like the radiator fan hitting shroud, IMO, if it were internal, with that much ticking, something would have let loose by now

check in the timing cover, too slow for a turbo rattle, timing system or in the bellhousing is my guess
