Default what do ya think?

ok, first off..... here is my set up....

-DSM 14b (TD05) turbo
-DSM 450cc injectors
-log mani
-P06 with Crome/UBERDATA
-TurboXS RFL BOV
-FMIC

well that is all that matters (that i can think of). My question is do yall think my D16y7 can hold 10psi with a good tune? i wanna be able to drive it hard and not be afraid of it blowing up.

if you don't want to be afraid of it blowing it up, then don't turbo it :P

just keep it to 8 if you want to be safe but yeah i believe on a good tune it should handle 10. And you might wanna post your basemap for us to look at so you're not like that guy that destroyed his new motor because ignition timing pwned him

Sure, there's always a risk with turbo'ing any motor, but it's about what you can do to reduce that risk... one being a good tune. Make sure you take it to someone who knows how to tune! Pay the money. It's important.

10 psi seems like it'll be pushing it, but I'm not as familiar with d-series... 7-8 seems safer.
