Water injection INSTEAD of intercooler?

Re: Water injection INSTEAD of intercooler?
i felt a power gain with the fmic and water injection, so i would reccomend both, but yeah, you could use water injection as the sole form of intercooling, the only problem is if the pump fails or you run out in boost, you better catch it quick or your engine will suffer.

I have a FMIC so the water is just a plus, now are we talking about IC water spraying or water injection? My Dad and I jacked around doing the sprayer and had some trouble with the sprayers. I'm lost on the idea of water injection.
