Default wastegate stuck open?

Alright well after looking over numorous things and checking for leaks trying to figure out why i'm not getting any boost, I think I've come to the conclusion that my wastegate is stuck open. When I hit the gas all the exhaust just rushes out the wastegate. Some exhuast travels through the turbo, but apparently not enough to create any boost.

One of my questions is what causes that to happen? No vacuum? Bad wastegate spring? or what?

It's odd that my boost gauge not only doesnt show any boost, but it doesn't go into vacuum either. Do I have a vacuum leak?

My setup on a 97 Civic EX:
Super60b T3
lovefab.com manifold
tail wastegate
Golden Eagle vacuum manifold
johnnyracecar.com FMIC
custom downpipe and charge pipes
DSM 450cc injectors
DSM BOV
S-AFC

Also my car is obviously OBD2. At the moment, I don't have the first 02 sensor in the downpipe. Does that have a significant effect on things? I mean, would that be the cause of my lack of boost? I wouldn't think so, but who knows. Another thing, I also have not made a hole for the MAP sensor in the charge pipe.

Maybe I'm just retarded, which is very possible since I dont know everything about this stuff. Feel free to point and laugh if I overlooked something I shouldn't have, but I'd appreciate any pointers.

i had this same problem for 5 mos., did you put the metal o-ring in the bottom of the wg when you put it on? and yeah, either your boost gauge is broken or there is a leak in the vacuum hose.

dude, don't feel bad, i drove mine like this for 5 mos. almost and it sounded like ***, a big exhaust leak all the time and turbo spooled slow as hell, i just thought this was how it was. when i got my wg (my turbo was already installed), i was in such a hurry that i just slapped it on and went. i didn't notice something was up until the other week when i installed my boost controller and it wasn't working, so i took the wg off and noticed a big gap all the way around the piston in it it. it took me a minute but it finally hit me that little ring that it came with went in there, luckily i knew exactly where it was at after 5 mos. :P it was like a whole new car, quiet like stock, can hear the turbo spool, spools up so much quicker, etc.
