wastegate question.

wastegate question.
If a turbocharger has an internal wastegate and I wanna run external ones.. could I just not connect the vacuum line from turbo outlet to internal and have a vacuum line to the external one? Is there a way to disable the internal wastegate to run an external wastegate? and is this even possible? Anyone? Thanks!

Yes, weld it shut.
Yes, it's possible, see above.
No problem.

Re: wastegate question.
i'm planning to run an internal with my existing external. i wonder which will open first? ;-)
you are just asking for slow spool unless you are careful that way. you certainly wont get any creep past the higher of the two settings though, the flow should be adequate. you should definitely jam/weld the internal firmly closed unless you want headaches.
