Default Wastegate help

I purchased this Garret T25 from a member of Sol Society. When it came in the wastegate was all goofy. From the pictures it is obvious that it's not for this turbo. However I was wondering if it was possible to chop off the brace on the wastegate and JB weld some threads on it so it can be bolted to the mount on the turbo. From here I would get a threaded rod and screw it on the actuator. I would then attach it to the lever for the butterfly valve. I was wondering if this would work. Also how do I test the wastegate to make sure it is working and how would I set it to a particular boost when it's back on. Please review the pics below and let me know if it will work.

The Wastegate with it's own bracket

Possible mouting point?

But the angle of the actuator is all wrong

I was thinking to cut the wastegate's bracket and simply bolt the Wg to the Turbo's bracket. Like so.

And from the front profile

What do you guys think?
