im not sure.. just thread it up for now ..

dood think about it. your manifold pressure is positive when in boost. so that means the rod is pushed.

i dont know which way the actuator rod opens the wastegate throw me a pic.

in other words. is it pulled or pushed open?

It is in fact pushed.

I am also thinking shorten it and it will be EASIER to open...thus less pressure required...I dunno

Well, let's think about this for a minute...it's kind of like the manual boost controller setup with a ball and spring. Depending on the springs "strength"...the ball could be pushed at different psi. This arm is in a way the same thing...depending on its strength it can be pushed at different psi. Right now its pretty tough to push the flapper open with the arm. If I shorten it, less pressure will be required at the "can" to push that arm open...so the answer is in fact SHORTEN the arm to lower the boost.

Am I thinking logically or am I just smoking crack?

wow, finally someone who knows what their talking about.. shorting the rod wont even let the wastegate open. You will need to put an "EXTENSION" in the wastegate rod, to make it longer if you wish to lower boost.

You lengthen it... definetely.. just take the wg off and pull on the arm.. see wheather air is coming into the wg or out of the wg..that should work right? corect me if im wrong
