wastegate
Ok I got a few questions for you. Do all turbos come with internal wastegates? If a turbo has one but I want to use an external waste gate can I? Are internal wastegates adjustable? What do you guys think of the turbo out of a probe?
Thanks

Q.Do all turbos come with internal wastegates?
A.No. Not all turbos come with internal wastegates.
Q. If a turbo has one but I want to use an external waste gate can I?
A.Yes. You will need a new flange. It looks like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33742
Q.What do you guys think of the turbo out of a probe?
A.Very small. Used to power R/C cars. Could be used to spool a real turbo.

Re:wastegate
200 HP on a probe turbo? Sounds crazy, but I'm sure someone has done it. I'm guessing you will be going to a junkyard to pull a turbo off a car? I have never yanked a used turbo from a car before so I'm not sure which ones to go for. I would look for something with bigger numbers than a probe though. Maybe a Thunderbird Super Coupe? It at least has a V6.
